PRIVACY POLICY – HERITAGE RIDE MANAGER (DRIVER)

FleetPaths (“we”, “our”, “us”) develops and operates the Heritage Ride Manager (Driver) Android application (“App”). This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It satisfies Google Play requirements and global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

1. WHAT INFORMATION DOES THE APP COLLECT?
• Location – precise GPS coordinates (foreground and background).
Purpose: show the driver’s real-time position in the Heritage Ride Manager web console, update trip progress, and generate historical trip reports.
Storage: not stored on the device; transmitted via HTTPS to FleetPaths servers hosted on AWS.

The App does NOT collect:
– Personal identifiers (name, e-mail, phone)
– Photos, media, contacts, microphone or camera data
– Advertising or analytics identifiers
– Payment or billing information

2. HOW DO WE USE THE DATA?
Location data is used solely to support fleet-management features requested by your employer/transport operator:
a. Display active vehicle locations and routes
b. Trigger status changes (e.g., “On Route”, “Arrived”)
c. Generate historical trip reports
We do not use location data for marketing, profiling, or advertising, and we never sell it to third parties.

3. LEGAL BASIS
Because the App is deployed to drivers under a service contract with their employer, we rely on:
• Contractual necessity – to provide real-time tracking and service reporting
• Legitimate interests – ensuring fleet safety and operational efficiency

4. DATA SHARING & RETENTION
Data is shared only with:
• FleetPaths cloud platform (AWS us-east-1) – core processing and storage
• Transport operator / employer – secure access through the Heritage Ride Manager portal

5. SECURITY MEASURES
• All traffic encrypted with TLS 1.2+
• Data at rest encrypted with AES-256
• Dashboard access protected by role-based access control
• AWS infrastructure is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified

6. YOUR CHOICES & RIGHTS
• The App requests the Location permission on first launch. Denying it disables tracking and may prevent use of the service.
• Drivers who wish to erase historic location logs should contact their fleet administrator or e-mail support@fleetpaths.com.
• Where GDPR applies, you have rights to access, rectify, restrict, or erase your personal data.

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The App is not directed at children under 16 and should only be installed on company-issued devices operated by professional drivers.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect operational or legal changes. We will notify fleet administrators via e-mail and update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after an update signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

GOOGLE PLAY DATA SAFETY SUMMARY
• Location (precise): collected, not shared; used for app functionality and internal analytics.
• No collection of personal info, financial info, contacts, photos/media, or device ID.
